We aim to ensure that students leave the sixth form with good academic results as well as being rounded individuals who are ready for the next stage in their lives. In order to help them develop we encourage participation in appropriate and organised social events, which are decided by the sixth form leadership team in consultation with their peers.
These in the past have included:
- Ten pin bowling
- Christmas meal
- Thorpe Park
- Taize France
We encourage all students to be part of the school community – in fact students have always been willing to ‘give back’, and have taken part in whole school drama productions, improving literacy with SEN students, maths support for C/D borderliners, as well as mentoring younger students. In addition, they regularly raise money for a wide of organisations such as Comic Relief and Jeans for Genes.
For those students who enjoy the challenge of writing and creativity we have established a creative team who produce a monthly newsletter.
